Sustainable Buildings South East Asia (SB07 SEA) is one of the regional conferences in the global Sustainable Buildings series of conferences which culminate in the SB08 World Congress on Sustainable Buildings in Melbourne next September. SBCI is a partner in this conference series and as such was invited to give a key-note address and host a full-day business forum. The major outcome form the perspective of sustainable building advocacy was the promotion of the formation of the Malaysian Sustainable Building Council (MSBC). The business forum enabled the instigating organisations to share their experiences in Sustainable Building in the region and to identify barriers and opportunities that could become strategic focus areas for the MSBC. SBCI would like to thank all those who sponsored and participated in the forum and to wish MSBC the best of luck establishing itself and affecting change in South East Asia.
